Stupid:
Buffalo police fall for gang initiation hoax... and the media too!
Do they realize that the gang in question, the MS-13 (which, by the
way, is not a gang but a terrorist organization) is made up mostly of
Latin Americans, whose presence in western New York is miniscule, and
that there is no evidence whatsoever that the MS-13 was here? 3/27

the temperature is in the mid-30s compared to a normal of 40. It's not
that bad, people! I was up at 11:00 screaming obscenities to the TV
because the meteorologists are so mind-numbingly depressing. No wonder
people keep leaving...
14?? That's how many people
reportedly voted at the Little Valley village elections, which were
uncontested. 3/19
Our
illustrious new governor: "I had an affair with someone WHO WAS ON THE STATE PAYROLL"
(NY
Daily News)... but guess what? Your state GOP is so inept they're
going to turn
a blind eye! Ridiculous! This is not a personal life. If it were
just an affair, it'd be a personal life. But the mistress was on the
state payroll. That's corruption. Prosecute it. 3/18

Catharine Young contradicts herself:
She says we must give priority to taxpayers while still propping up our
bloated schools and health care systems (Olean
Times Herald)... 3/13 (News flash, Senator Young: The two are
mutually exclusive.)

government workers (WLEA)...
2/29
OBIT: William F. Buckley, 82.
Conservative icon, author and pundit, founder of National Review. 2/27
Part
of the reason I'm not a Republican: They're absolutely LOUSY
campaigners! How do they lose a state senate seat that's tilted 2-1 in
their favor?? (AP)...

Oh,
this is just wonderful: now babysitters are unionizing! (And--
it gets better-- in some parts of the state, they're joining the
teacher's unions.) All because Spitzer signed an "executive order"
saying they could. (AP)...
2/15
According to Gary Nease of WPIG,
"County lawmakers took the first step toward granting Empire Zone tax

Oy
vey... not another 3 more years! Can we just kill this pipe
dream of a 219 project already? As long as regulations and red tape
continue to hamper development we'll continue to devolve into poverty.
From WPIG's Gary Nease: The DOT now wants another "environmental impact
study" that'll put off the entire project for three more years. I'm
furious. This is the crap that is the problem in New York-- everybody
wants a study or research or license everything and people have to jump
through hoops just to get things done... grr... I am this close to
throwing my hat into the ring for state senate in '08 if things don't
clean up. 2/8
